From the Cebu Bible College of Theology and Missions website: Most people spend years in school to prepare themselves to survive for a few years here on earth. What about the next life though? Do you not owe to yourself and to your own soul to at least do a little serious investigation of the word of God? What kind of student are you? Are you a lazy lifeless guard who protects already discovered handed-down treasure? Or are you an investigative Bloodhound who savours the tingling excitement of mapping out and digging up the paths of old, rejoicing in the discovery of lost treasure? CBC prides itself in helping students learn to do reliable, serious investigation of the Word of God (not indoctrination or brain-washing acceptance of protected church traditions through commentary study). It is our aim to develop skills enabling the student to open-mindedly approach the ancient text through the eyes of a first-century reader, having engulfed himself in the Biblical languages, culture, anthropological studies, and skills to span the communicative gap between the 1st and 21st Century man.
